Life as a Millennial

Women

In the 1990s, women took to the streets globally to march for equal pay, conditions and rights. Culminating in the day that cemented Women’s Day in our calendar. The Russian women’s ‘bread for peace’ strike in 1917, leading to the tsar’s abdication, voting rights and thus permanently transforming Russian politics.

As time has gone on, we have demanded body autonomy, reproductive rights, most recently the huge step made for all UK women’s equality, safety and health with abortion legalised in Northern Ireland only in 2019! Today the narrative has evolved from rights alone to full and equal OPPORTUNITIES.
